Music is a bit too much sometimes (Enya playing out loud...) and the staff is somehow not very friendly. Not sure why? Maybe my impression is wrong but let's see, I might modify my review later.

No one said, "Irrashaimase" or asked us how many people were in our party. The woman working came over and cleared off a table for us quietly after we had waited a few minutes, and she didn't say a word. Then when she came to get our order and we said we weren't ready, she gave us an annoyed look. The reason we couldn't decide was because they had a ton of enticing photos outside, but only three choices on the menu when we walked in... I don't recommend this place.

English menu available with pictures, though the daily specials were only listed in the Japanese menu. The tonkatsu sandwich was a delight with a brown rice bread absorbing flavor from the greasy, crispy pork. The Apple Pie was right out of a Paris cafe. Unlike many restaurants in Japan, good coffee.
R	R U on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice little café, but as a guy I found the portion of their lunch menu very small. It tasted great, and their cake selection is good also considering the size of the restaurant but I wish they increased their portion size of their food.

The calm relaxing atmosphere was nice after the crowds at Nara park. My from scratch made-to-order pork katsu sandwich and salad was delicious ($15). It came with a choice of coffee, tea, or espresso. The espresso held up to any I’ve had before. The desserts looked really good but we opted out to head over to a nearby sake tasting. I would have given them 5 stars but the service went from good to non-existent when our waitress went home. Despite the inconsistent service I would go back.
S	Sean Lee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet cafe in a quiet town. I visited around 6pm on a weekday and the customers who were there just before me ordered the last 2 buttermilk pancakes. The pancakes are the specialties in this cafe. A pity I didn't get to try them. They certainly look very delicious. The waitress recommended this praline cake instead (I taste some sesame in it). Decent. Portions small though. Paid JPY550 for 1 pax.
