★ ★ ★ ★ ★ よく整備されていて、子供からお年寄りまで、スニーカーでも楽しめるハイキングコースです。序盤は傾斜がきついですが、息が上がらない程度のゆっくりしたペースで進むとしばらくしてほぼ傾斜のないなだらかな道になります。
 It is a well-maintained hiking course that can be enjoyed with sneakers from children to the elderly. The slope is steep at the beginning, but if you proceed at a slow pace so that you can not breathe, it will become a gentle road with almost no slope after a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★麓に広い駐車場と案内所、トイレあり（多目的トイレもあり）
★全体の山の案内板がふもとにありますが、遊歩道内にはないので、行く前に写メっていくとわかりやすくていいかもしれません。
★道は大体整備されていて歩きやすいです。階段もないルートあり（ただ、山道なので、石や木の根っこなどありベビーカーなどはちょっときびしそう）
★展望台、眺めよかったです！！
★ちょっとしたお散歩にいいかも。桜の木もたくさんあります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 展望台までは、急な坂や大きな段差などがあり、結構な運動になる。思っていたよりキツイ。滑りやすい場所もあるので、慎重にゆっくり登る方がいいです。
展望台からは、見晴らしが良くアクアラインも見える。お弁当を持って、展望台周辺で食べるのもgood。
飲み物は必ず持参するべし。
駐車場から、ちょっと離れたところに自販機あります。
There are steep slopes and large steps up to the observatory, so it is quite an exercise. It's harder than I expected. There are slippery areas, so you should climb carefully and slowly.
From the observatory, you can see the aqua line with a good view. It is also good to bring your lunch and eat around the observatory.
Be sure to bring your own drinks.
There is a vending machine a little away from the parking lot.

NHKの大河ドラマ「八重の桜」や「真田丸」「西郷どん」などのロケ地としても密かな人気スポット。

It is also a secretly popular spot as a location for NHK's taiga drama "Yae no Sakura", "Sanada Maru" and "Saigo Don".

山頂に行くまでも、そんなに厳しい道は無く安心してトレッキングを楽しめると思います。
途中にはイノシシを捕まえる罠などあり、楽しめます??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 富士山は見えませんが、君津の工業地帯とその向こうに広がる東京湾を見渡せます。
地理院地図を見ると本郷の弁財天に伸びる山道が記されていますが、こちらはあまりお勧めしません。
NTTが無線塔を管理するために使う車道なので飾り気がなく、また案内所方面へ向かう道と違って枯葉などが溜まっています。車で入れるので不法投棄された粗大ゴミも目立ちます。
弁財天のそばの山道からアプローチするならGPSアプリの使用をお勧めします。
道中、弘化3年の古い道標があります。現代的なデザインを感じます。
You can't see Mt. Fuji, but you can see the industrial area of Kimitsu and Tokyo Bay beyond it.
If you look at the Geographical Survey Institute map, you can see the mountain road that extends to Benzaiten in Hongo, but this is not recommended.
Since it is a roadway used by NTT to manage the radio tower, it has no decoration, and unlike the road heading toward the information center, dead leaves are accumulated. Since it can be put in by car, illegally dumped oversized garbage is also noticeable.
If you are approaching from a mountain road near Benzaiten, we recommend using the GPS app.
Along the way, there is an old sign that is 3 years old in Koka. I feel a contemporary design.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新緑の木漏れ日の道をゆっくり歩き、展望台に着いた時の薫風がとても心地よい。この山は日本武尊が船を着けた伝説が有り「御船山」が本来の地名のようです。古代の海岸線はこの山の南から西山麓辺り迄あったということで、伝説は本当では思いました。この山から鹿野山一帯を支配していた阿久留王との激戦になったのでは。とか、里見義弘と北条氏政の戦いでは、この山に北条軍10000騎が陣を張り、佐貫城の真に、背水の陣の里見軍2500騎と戦い、劣勢の里見軍が勝ったことの戦略とは。等々、想像してたら時間を忘れてしまいました。
