★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021.11.25京都御所の中にある神社です。小さい神社で神主さんは留守が多いとの事でしたチャイムを押したら神主さんが出てこられ御朱印をいただくことが出来ました。本殿の裏に「御所のへそ石」（薬師石）があり正面から見ると「顔」に見えるそうですが、私には見えませんでした（笑）
 2021.11.25 It is a shrine in the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It was said that the priest was often absent at a small shrine. When I pressed the chime, the priest came out and I was able to get a red stamp. There is a "Navel stone" (Yakushi stone) behind the main shrine, and it looks like a "face" when viewed from the front, but I couldn't see it (laughs).

創建は元仁元年(1224)西園寺家の祖である西園寺公経が北山に建てた妙音堂に由来、主祭神は宗像三女神の一人「市杵島姫命」妙音弁財天とも呼ばれる。
西園寺家の鎮守社であり、家系が楽器の琵琶であることから音楽の神として、又西園寺家に縁の深い福寿稲荷社の金運のご利益、患部を撫でると治療に効果の「薬師石」等、病気治癒のご利益等がある。
もう一つ、西園寺邸に私塾立命館を創設、その後、側近の中川小十郎が志を継ぎ立命館大学を創る。立命館大学衣笠キャンパスには西園寺記念館なるものが…当然、学問の祈願、つまり合格祈願にもご利益?
