Authentic Japanese dishes especially fish menus with little bowls of pickles or Japanese dishes and miso soup. Very healthy. There are daily menus also but I had the “kaisendon” (fresh sashimi rice bowl) which was very high in volume, slightly a bit too fishy even for a local who loves fish. I think I like the other menus better. Overall though a cozy nice place.

We ordered the grilled taro, bari neck, pork and shiitake mushrooms - and every single one of them was a piece of magic. Accompanying sake (selected by waiter) was honey. Perfect lighting, attentive & faultlessly charming staff. Ridiculously reasonable prices at this quality. I hope this is the first of many trips back. Call to reserve as, for good reason, gets full.
C	Calvin Fu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the environment and a very rare way to cook food these days. Not your typical izakaya. Ordered three types of grilled fish all seasoned and cooked really well. The yellow tail (buri) was in season and it was the best. English friendly and they show you a basket of the fish available to grill for you to decide. Other bar snacks were good as well. Price was fair given its location. Recommend you to go but should book in advance. It is quite hard to find as the entrance is quite small.

The fish is cooked in a traditional Japanese style which I would say is a great unique experience to have even for locals. Highly suggest reserving seats as the place is popular. On the pricier side (around ¥5,000 each), but worth it.
