あっさりしたクリームの甘味、土台のパイはサクッとして、真ん中にはちゃんと栗も入っていて大満足でした。ご馳走様でした！
 I usually get the famous pomegranate, but today I changed my mind and tried Montblanc.
The sweetness of the cream and the base pie were crispy, and I was very satisfied with the chestnuts in the middle. It was a treat!

This place is most famously known for the Zakuro, a fluffy sponge cake topped with fresh cream and a strawberry.
It’s a family owned business which has more than 70 years of history. It started as a cream puff store sold on a wagon shortly after world war 2. Their Zakuro cakes has been one of the most popular cakes for 3 generations.
Needless to say, I just had to try it, as well as the black tea strawberry shortcake which they also recommended.
Their Zakuro sponge cake tasted so light and airy it felt almost like soft cotton. It had a tender and smooth crumb, unlike Bocksun’s, which was more rough. The cream had a milky fragrance which complimented the strawberry and sponge well.
The black tea strawberry shortcake was very nice too. It had a fragrant tea aroma which surprisingly complimented the strawberries.
Definitely worth the calories.
