Tasty and incredibly cheap. Not much explanation from the staff, who should point out that you have to do some of the prep yourself. Other than that, it's worth a visit.

Looks very "hole in the wall", but it's very busy. Delicious, quick, and ridiculously cheap (190 yen for a standard bowl of udon). The noodles are the best udon I've had in Japan! It's also fun in that it's a bit DIY. You pick up a bowl, ask for how much you want (1, 2 or 3 servings of noodles). You flash boil your own noodles. Add soup and toppings. Enjoy!

The best of the best BECAUSE ... they’ve been open for two generations, about 65 years. Same location. Starting at 5am. Rolling, boiling to bowl udon! Tempura is fresh esp the CHIKUWA (fish cake) which is a must. My 3rd time here, this time with Food Ranger (YouTube) and Miyagawa-san makes this an incredible experience. She’s a “BIJIN” (beauty) and let her know because the smile will light up the room. 1) excellent homemade dashi with many iriko 2) Udon noodles rolled to size by muscle memory. Amazing character to them. 2) the tempura area is great. It’s all good! 3) the price is very low. That means HAVE TWO if you’re hungry :) come back for more. 4) it can get busy. The line moves fast because more people stay for 3 min!! Eat and GO! Don’t stay too long so someone waiting can grab a seat. You can also have it with cold dashi and that helps you taste the noodles more. HAVE A FOOD TIME! It’s worth the trip.

It was recommended by the owner of a pilgrims guesthouse. The soup base was really delicious and the taste changed after adding grated ginger which tasted great too. Remember to scoop the sardines from the bottom of the soup pot. Wide variety of tempura to go with the udon :D

Simple and delicious udon noodle. Soup is unique with very rich flavor. Little crowd during lunch time. Warm and very friendly owner and staffs. Very cheap!

This was an incredible experience, amazing udon and a huge selection of things to add. The ginger was a standout. Local and comfortable restaurant for quick dining. Highly recommended.

Best sanuki udon you could possibly get for your money. Big, generous toppings, lots of udon (ask for a triple!), and delicious homemade broth. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Shikoku!
