2nd-hand smoking in Japan must be stopped. It is the responsibility of all restaurants, shops and other public establishments to teach smokers that smoking around healthy people, especially women and children is wrong. Over 600,000 innocent people have died in Japan due to 2nd-hand smoke over decades and it must be educated around the world. Please DO NOT give smokers the power to poison our healthy society and take away our right to breathe healthy, clean air especially while we eat and drink and shop for daily necessities. Smoking in public is NOT a right. Breathing fresh air is and they are committing a crime by indirectly killing those around them without a care. It must be stopped. Please choose to help your community and do the right thing and I promise that those businesses will regain the people's respect, including from myself, my wife and children. In the end, the smokers will learn too and they will hopefully become healthier and more aware as well. We need to help everyone, not just non-smokers but the addicted violators too.
Smokers will still come to eat, they must in order to survive. Not smoking during one meal in public won't kill them, but allowing them to can contribute to the death of multiple people all at once. Don't be the business responsible for letting that take place.
IF YOU READ THIS THROUGH, please be a huge part of the solution and do not support and pay businesses that allow smoking in or outside of their establishment until they vow to eliminate it too. We the people who want smoking eradicated from public have the power if we begin a trend together! If the government won't make the change, WE can make the change much faster. Spread the word, don't stand idly by!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Komeda is a chajn of cafes based in the kansai area. There is a kansai tradition to grab some "morning" as a social activity.. which us grabbing, you guessed it, breakfast. The logic is that you order coffee and the breakfast just comes with it. Of course, I'm sure the cost is properly figured in to the coffee price, but the premise is fun. Why not get free breakfast with a cup of joe?
The breakfast items a very straightforward.. toast and egg type of fare. There's quite a lot to choose from, including some casserole type dishes, to keep returning guests interested. It seems like kansai people"morning" very often.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe is always a favorite with many different types of drinks ranging in all types of flavors. It is a little small but great for meeting up with people. The downside was the time of the service which was a little long, but overall a great place. Also it has morning service where you buy a drink and can get toast and an egg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are coming from America, be prepared to be upset this isn’t at home. The retro vibe of this coffee shop was amazing. How do you describe this experience? One of the best Cocoas I’ve had. Red Bean Coffee? Seriously? How delightful. Instant love.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for breakfast (till 11am). We came after this time so we ordered sandwiches from regular menu. Chicken in my sandwich was so big, that I had problem with eating all of it ;) There is an english menu.
