★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are many great schools to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Osaka, but Paraestra is by far the greatest in my opinion. I've been coming since I was an exchange student and during my time as a member (2+ years and counting) and it has always been an amazing environment to train in and have fun in. High level instruction and great training partners. Highly recommend whether you are just visiting or you're living locally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with many years of teaching experience and had the chance to visit Paraestra in my last trip to Japan as recommended by a local friend. Coming from someone who has visited many BJJ academies in multiple countries I can say that Paraestra Osaka is definitely a high-level school, with many top-level grapplers and a great instructor in Takumi-san. Deinitely a must for any BJJ player visiting Osaka.
