This temple is where I started to study with interest in a small shrine in Kyoto. There are many stories like this in Kyoto by saying "The Gate of 100 Hits" ^ _ ^ We distribute videos on YOUTUBE, Search by [Living Santo]!

It is famous for its one hundred gates. I wish I went there during the day, but I think it would be scary if I go out at night. It was older than I thought, and there was atmosphere. We also recommend Yonaki Jizo in the precincts.

The mountain gate is said to be called the "Hundred Tataki Gate" because it was released by hitting a sinner 100 times in front of the gate due to the relocation of the prison gate of Momoyama Castle.

It is called Jigenzan and belongs to the Jodo sect.
It is a temple of the Jodo sect facing Shichihonmatsu-dori. The principal image is the Holy Kanzeon Bodhisattva. The gate of Kanonji Temple is said to have been relocated from the prison gate of Fushimi Castle. When the sinner is released, he hits 100 times in front of the gate and advises him not to return to prison, so it is called the 100-beat gate. The gate of this gate is made of a single piece of camphor tree, and when the wind blows on the dive door, there is a moaning voice, which is counted as one of the seven mysteries of Izumi.
