T	Trip.com Member on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice location in the business district of Osaka. ***aged to get a nice room (2107) with views over the waterway and down to the railway tracks. Albeit a lady cleaner attends to the male changing rooms and some boys older than toddlers used the female bath. The price is fair inclusive of breakfast and hot spring.

The hotel is also close to a station on the Osaka loop line and Aeon (department/grocery store). The free bottle water every day is nice when it's hot. Would stay again.

We got here late from Kyoto and the staff checked us in quickly. Staff are friendly. Surronding with family restaurant make it easy to dine. Found a little ramen house near the JR station that served the best kimchi we ever tasted.

The staff were all friendly, the breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS, and even though the rooms are small, they're still plenty comfortable. And all for a fraction of the price you would expect such a high class hotel to cost! A perfect option for those staying in the city for a couple nights, though those staying for an extended period of time may appreciate somewhere with larger rooms.
T	Trip.com Member on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is easy to reach. I chose it for easy access to the JR station and Osaka Castle. The floor was plastic and the room small. The rooms were good and well kept. The bathroom was huge and we each had our own bed, not a trundle or mat. Value for money.
J	John Taylor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall my and my wife's experience was satisfactory. Could it have been better? Yes. Hotel employees were kind and respectful. The hotel room itself was clean. We had a little trouble finding the hotel, as it shares the building with several other businesses and offices. Check-in was basically straightforward, except the lobby employee inexplicably needed to make copies of our passports. That may just be a Japanese practice. Our room was on the 21st floor, and it offered a great view of the city. The hotel is also very close to Osaka Castle, so if that is on your list of places to see, you should definitely consider Hotel Monterey La Soeur. Since this was our first time staying in a Japanese hotel, we didn't know why we were given two key cards. It turns out that one key is used to activate the electricity in the room. We almost foolishly called hotel staff, because we had no idea why the lights weren't turning on. Just be sure to put that card into the electricity slot by the door. Our semi-double room for two nights costed 14,400 yen, which is very reasonable when you compare it to other hotels in its category in Osaka. Plus, our stay included two free passes to the hotel spa. Prices may differ depending on the season, however. We stayed in the hotel in May. If we stop in Osaka again, we will probably stay here again.

The hotel exterior and lobby looked really nice, and the staff at the reception were very unassuming and polite. The room was a bit tiny and cramped. The room interior was a bit dated as well. We could easily walk from the Kyobashi Station. The elevated pathway connecting the station and the hotel was roofed. Also, another subway station in the Osaka Business Park was very close, too. The Osaka Castle was also within walking distance from the hotel.
