★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浄土真宗本願寺派の寺院。松と藤棚があり落ち着いた雰囲気で境内の人工池には鯉が泳いでました。
A temple of the Hongo-ji school of the Jodo Shinshu sect. There were pine trees and wisteria trellis, and carps were swimming in an artificial pond on the grounds in a calm atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 29年11月12日訪れました。御所まち霜月祭という一年に一回のお祭り！
沢山の人々が訪れていました！
午前11時半頃に、到着したけど駐車場も二ヵ所満車で臨時の駐車場に止める事が霜月祭を楽しむことが出来ました！
円照寺も年に一回だけの内部公開です！
写真アップしました！
お約束どおり緑色の着物でお祭りに来ました！
着物の写真は、吉祥草寺で山伏さんと写したものです！
格式たかそうなお寺です。
御所のまち歩いて散策しましたが何故か私以外に観光されてる人いなかったかもね〜！
ちょっとさびしさ感じましたけどね。まちも物静かでしたね〜！でも、すれ違うまちの人はかるく会釈してくれます。たまには私の着物姿見て声かけてくれたりなんとなく良かったです！
とりあえず本堂の前で自撮りしました！
I visited on November 12, 2017. The Goshi Machi Shimotsuki Festival is an annual festival!
Many people were visiting!
We arrived at about 11:30 am, but we could enjoy the Shimotsuki Festival by stopping at two parking lots and temporarily stopping at a temporary parking lot!
Enshoji is also open to the public once a year!

As promised, I came to the festival with a green kimono!
The picture of the kimono was taken with Mr. Yamabushi at Kichijosouji!
It is a temple that looks like a formal ceremony.
I took a walk around the town of Gosho, but for some reason there might be no other tourists than me!
I felt a little lonely, though. The town was quiet too! However, the people in the town that pass each other bow me lightly. It was nice to see me in my kimono once in a while!
Anyway, I took a selfie in front of the main hall!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御所市の伝統的な町並みが続く「御所まち」のうち、東側のエリアである東御所は円照寺を中心とした寺内町として発達した町です。円照寺は高田御坊専立寺などと共に「大和五ヶ所御坊」の一つに数えられる浄土真宗本願寺派のお寺さまです。天文15年（1546年）に当時この地の領主であった桑山氏の一族から出た笑雲上人によって常徳寺として開山し、以降、桑山氏の支援もある中で寺内町の形成が進んだとのことです。慶長年間（17世紀初め）に本山の准如上人から懸所坊舎（かけしょぼうしゃ→法主巡化の際に駐留、休泊の拠点とされるお寺さま）に命ぜられ本願寺の触頭（ふれがしら→江戸時代に地域のお寺を統括し本山等との上申下達などの役割を果たしたお寺さま）を勤めるとともに、円照寺に改名し、御所御坊として大和盆地南西部の葛上郡内50余の寺院を統括する布教の拠点となったそうです。
