★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「天ざる １４００円」をいただきまして、注文を受けてから調理された揚げたてサクサクの天ぷら、冷水でしめられたざるそば、どちらもめちゃくちゃ美味しかったです
 I received "Tenzaru 1400 yen", and the freshly fried crispy tempura cooked after receiving the order and the Zaru soba soaked in cold water were both insanely delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice selection of soba, udon, and rice (donburi) dishes. Try yuba and the Kyoto sakes. The soba sushi was also interesting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst staff, bad food. You will visit here only once, and they know it. If you are foreigner, don't expect any kind of friendly response. They are even discriminative to foreigners. They shouldn't accept foreign visitors. Ridiculous "omotenashi". Food itself is also ridiculous, which calls itself a master class soba dokoro. There are many better ones in Kyoto, also in the station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not great... 3 of us and none were truly happy with our dishes... Just didn't seem that flavourful and the noodles were of a slightly strange consistency. Looked like they cater to the tourists that don't know much better. Wish I'd chosen a different place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst soba I have ever had. Worse than out of a package from a convenience store. I actually felt sick after eating it. Waiter told me a dish was unavailable, and I later saw someone else receive it who ordered after me, so they definitely discriminate. I would recommend that you go elsewhere.
